Volunteers and partners gather across three governorates for the largest planting drive yet.
Over 600 volunteers gathered across Muscat, Dakhiliyah, and Batinah governorates this season to plant more than 10,000 native saplings — the Foundation’s largest single planting drive to date.
The campaign focused on species adapted to Oman’s arid climate, including Ghaf and Sidr, which provide habitat for native pollinators and help stabilise soil against desertification. Each tree is being geo-tagged so the Foundation can track survival rates over five years.
The drive was organised with support from the Ministry of Environment and local municipalities. Volunteers ranged from students to corporate teams, reflecting a growing public appetite for hands-on environmental action.
